Cécred, the haircare brand founded by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, is doubling down on its mission to uplift beauty professionals with the second annual launch of the Cécred x BeyGood Fund. Partnering once again with the BeyGood Foundation, the initiative is injecting a $500,000 national investment into the professional hair community through business grants and scholarships aimed at fostering long-term growth and education.
$370K in Business Grants for Salons and Barbershops
This year, the fund allocates $370,000 in direct grants to 37 salon and barbershop owners across the United States. Each recipient will receive $10,000 in funding, as well as access to critical business development tools, mentorship, and support through a collaboration with the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).
In a nod to inclusivity and extended impact, the top 40% of applicants who do not receive grants will still benefit from support services including group coaching and assistance with Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification—underscoring a broader commitment to equity within the industry.
Scholarships for the Next Generation of Stylists
The remaining $130,000 will be distributed as scholarships to cosmetology students at five institutions:
Detroit Extravagant Academy (Michigan)
Cosmetology Institute of Las Vegas
Universal College of Beauty (Los Angeles)
Civella Beauty Academy (North Carolina)
Bennett Career Institute (Washington, D.C.)
These awards are designed to not only relieve the financial burden of education but also to create pathways for future stylists to thrive in a competitive and evolving beauty landscape.
Elevating the Industry Through Access and Education
“Since the brand’s launch over a year ago, Cécred’s partnership with BeyGood has honored the knowledge and influence professional stylists have on their clients,” said Tina Knowles, vice chairwoman at Cécred and chair of the BeyGood Foundation. “With the Cécred x BeyGood Fund, we strive to uplift the professional hair industry and grow the salon community, while giving students and salon owners the tools they need to progress it forward.”
The relaunch of the fund also marks the official debut of Cécred’s Pro Program, offering stylists access to ongoing education, product support, and networking opportunities—an essential layer of hair care steps that goes beyond just products and into career sustainability.
“Stylists are the heart of the hair care industry and pillars of their communities,” said Grace Ray, CEO at Cécred. “At Cécred, our commitment has always been to uplift and invest in this vital community. Through education, access, and building meaningful relationships, we’re proud to help stylists build thriving businesses, elevate their craft, and continue doing what they do best.”
A Broader Movement in Hair Care
As the professional hair industry continues to evolve, initiatives like this not only provide funding but also serve as critical forms of hair health advice and support that allow stylists and students to thrive. With Beyoncé and her team leading the charge, the Cécred x BeyGood Fund exemplifies how brands can extend their impact far beyond beauty products—helping shape a more empowered and inclusive industry.
