L’Oréal Travel Retail and Kérastase Travel Retail Asia Pacific, in collaboration with China Duty Free Group (CDFG), have officially launched the world’s largest Kérastase flagship boutique at the cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay. This marks the first standalone Kérastase flagship in Travel Retail Asia Pacific, ushering in a new chapter for the brand in global travel retail.
Opened on April 20, the boutique showcases Kérastase’s commitment to redefining luxury haircare for travelers. As the demand for premium self-care continues to surge post-pandemic, more consumers are investing in high-quality hair health solutions. This new flagship aims to meet that need with personalized experiences and innovative technology.
At the heart of the store’s offerings is the debut of the K-Scan, Kérastase’s most advanced hair and scalp diagnostic tool. Utilizing tri-polar light technology and an AI-powered algorithm, this 10-minute service provides travelers with a tailored scalp analysis and a customized haircare regimen — reflecting the brand’s fusion of scientific precision and luxury.
Spanning 130 square meters, the boutique is styled as a “Parisian Suite,” combining modern design with classic French elegance. Vintage-inspired flooring and sleek monochrome marble details create an environment that resonates with Kérastase’s French heritage while offering an immersive beauty experience.
The store is divided into various experiential zones that highlight the science behind Kérastase products. A dedicated spa room features the Chronologiste Hair Ritual — a 50-minute salon-grade treatment designed to rejuvenate the scalp and restore hair vitality. This premium offering caters especially to travelers seeking indulgent, restorative care on the go.
Enhancing the shopping experience further, Kérastase introduces its first exclusive gifting service, complete with personalized embroidery and bespoke gift-wrapping — aligning with rising trends in luxury and personalized retail.
“This flagship marks a significant milestone,” said Jesus Abia, Managing Director of L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific. “Together with China Duty Free Group, we’ve created a destination where travelers can enjoy cutting-edge hair health technology and salon-grade treatments in an elegant, immersive environment.”
Loic Hemard, General Manager of L’Oréal’s Dermatological Beauty and Professional Products Division, emphasized, “Kérastase is synonymous with expert care. This boutique brings together personalized diagnostics and luxury treatments, delivering a new gold standard in hair health advice.”
Dorothy Liu, Deputy General Manager of CDFG’s Product Merchant Department, added, “We are proud to offer a premium experience that blends retail innovation and professional services, elevating the beauty journey for global travelers.”
The new Sanya flagship boutique not only represents Kérastase’s continued global expansion but also highlights evolving consumer priorities — where personalized care, luxury, and hair health tips are an essential part of the modern beauty experience.
