A new wellness business has opened its doors in Cleveleys, bringing a unique form of holistic treatment to the area for the first time.
Jade’s Japanese Head Spa, located at Unit 4 on St George’s Lane, officially opened last week, offering specialised scalp and hair treatments rooted in traditional Japanese techniques.
The spa is the brainchild of 35-year-old Jade Gibbons, a qualified hairdresser and family housing officer from Manchester, who was inspired to launch the business after noticing a gap in the local market during her frequent visits to the area.
“I chose Cleveleys because I have family here and visit every weekend,” she said. “I realised there were no Japanese head spas nearby, and it felt like the perfect opportunity to bring something new to the community.”
Japanese head spa treatments focus on scalp health and relaxation through methods such as deep cleansing, massage, aromatherapy, and steam therapy. Gibbons’ interest in the treatment is personal—having dealt with scalp psoriasis from a young age, she was drawn to the therapeutic benefits.
“After trying the Japanese head spa myself, I saw a noticeable improvement in my scalp health, confirmed by a scalp scanner,” she explained. “The experience was incredibly calming and effective, and I wanted to share that with others.”
Gibbons has since undergone specialist training in Japanese head spa and facial therapies. Her new venture combines luxury treatments with a focus on wellbeing and personal care.
“Japanese head spa is more than a scalp massage—it’s a full sensory experience,” she said. “It includes natural cleansing products, tension-relieving massage, steam therapy, and tailored care to promote both hair health and mental clarity.”
The spa is currently open two days a week: Fridays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
As interest in Japanese head spa treatments grows across the UK, Gibbons hopes her Cleveleys-based business will serve as a local sanctuary for relaxation and self-care.
