Joe Hart Unveils Hair Transplant Scars During Soccer Aid Training

by Madonna

Former England goalkeeper Joe Hart has debuted a bold new look, revealing the signs of a recent hair transplant as he prepares for his appearance at this year’s Soccer Aid match at Old Trafford.

Hart, 38, was spotted training with fellow celebrity players on Friday, sporting a closely cropped haircut that prominently displayed mild redness on his scalp—an indication of recent hair transplant surgery. The inflammation is a common part of the hair transplant recovery process and suggests Hart may be enhancing the thickness of his existing hairstyle rather than opting for a completely new look.

The ex-Manchester City star, who famously fronted Head & Shoulders adverts during his playing days, appeared in high spirits as he trained at Champneys Tring. He was seen laughing and catching up with teammates including David James, Jermain Defoe, Jill Scott, Paddy McGuinness, and Louis Tomlinson. Hart also took time to get fitted for a Primark suit, signaling a fresh style to go with his updated hairline.

Just over a week ago, Hart appeared on Instagram with a full head of hair during a Q&A from his ice bath, suggesting the procedure may have been quite recent. Though his playing career officially ended last season, he remains in the public eye, currently working as a BBC pundit for Euro 2024.

Hart is one of many former professional footballers returning to the pitch for Soccer Aid 2024, including Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Steph Houghton, and Toni Duggan. The England team also features athletic icons like Sir Mo Farah and Dame Denise Lewis, along with celebrity participants such as Bear Grylls, Alex Brooker, and singer Tom Grennan.

Rooney will co-manage the team alongside Harry Redknapp and boxing star Tyson Fury. TV personality Sam Thompson, originally scheduled to play, has withdrawn due to injury but will now assist as a coach.

The World XI squad includes big names like Edwin van der Sar, Nemanja Vidić, Carlos Tevez, and Harry Kewell.

Hair restoration procedures have become increasingly popular among footballers. Hart now joins a growing list of athletes who’ve opted for the surgery, including Wayne Rooney, David Silva, and Landon Donovan. While the hair transplant cost can be significant, the “before and after” results continue to draw attention—especially when revealed so publicly, as Hart has done this week.

The former England No. 1 boasts an impressive career, with 75 international caps and five major trophies at Manchester City, including two Premier League titles. He ended his club career on a high note with Celtic, securing seven trophies in three seasons.

As Soccer Aid 2024 approaches, fans are eager to see whether Hart’s new hair will bring him the same confidence between the sticks as it once did in front of the cameras.
